Exploding Your Score!
Blue tiles are worth more than the normal tile of that type.
Red tiles multiply the points of all letters used in the same word.
Yellow tiles add their bonus value to the base tile points of each tile in the same word or words.
Red, blue, and yellow squares in the board modify the points of letters or words crossing those squares. The bonuses stack!
A blank tile is a SPACE, not a wildcard. It contributes no points itself, but it allows you to string together two separate, shorter words into a single, longer word. Blank tiles are still affected by yellow bonuses which add points to a tile.
A +2⨉ word bonus adds to a final word multiplier, which applies once at the end. For example, a +2⨉ and a +3⨉ applying to the same word will result in a 5⨉ total multiplier.
(only before board #456) A ⨉2 word bonus, on the other hand, will multiply the total point value of a word by 2, even if it's already been multiplied. For example, a ⨉2 and a ⨉3 applying to the same word will result in a 6⨉ total multiplier!
